About Us

Financially S.M.A.R.T. Services (F.S.S.) provides financial education solutions to meet the needs of companies, service clubs, professional associations and all persons who wish to learn the tools they need to succeed financially.

Our mission is to be Jamaica’s number one source for practical, down-to-earth, independent answers for all questions relating to personal finance.

F.S.S. was founded by Cherryl Hanson Simpson, a financial consultant & columnist. She worked for several years at one of Jamaica’s leading financial institutions, where she played an integral role in the design and implementation of the company’s financial planning services division.

During client consultations, she observed that there was one missing element that prevented many persons from achieving their financial goals.

It was discovered that most people were unaware of the basics of personal finance: they were clueless about the financial world, and therefore made bad decisions with their money. Once they were properly educated, their success rate in attaining their goals increased tremendously.

F.S.S. was created to bring this key ingredient of financial success - education - to the reach of all.

F.S.S. plans to promote financial education in all media forms including newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and the Internet; as well as through the use of  seminars and training workshops targeted to a wide cross section of people. F.S.S. will also seek to have basic financial education included in the school curriculum at the primary and secondary level, to ensure that our children are given the proper financial foundation.
